For a couple years I have really wanted to get into doing collaborations but always got sidetracked or plans fell through.so last week when out of the blue, dropped me a note with the suggestion we should combine forces for a build, I was instantly on-board. Behind the scenes so to say, we have been cooking up plans and bouncing around ideas. For this collaborative scale model project, I will be doing the ktibashing/building of the model, and he will do the painting. has agreed to whip us up come concept sketches to help inspire us. Anyways our rough plans are to build/paint some sort post-apocalyptic or sci-fi industrial vehicle. scratch built front cab,Crane arm, resin aftermarket, custom figurines, robotic sample arms, oxygen tanks, loot, ohhhh we have ideas let me tell you,But it all has to start somewhere. For this build, I will be using an older model of mine for the base/hull/bits: the high speed tractor (mighty monster)
as you can see its in pretty rough shape right now(that's dust not weathering btw lol) when i had built this thing years ago it was my most detailed model, but that was soon surpassed and its seen better days. anyways i had been cooking up ideas for this thing already but it was not anywhere my to-do list, in-till StyreneRobot
talked to me. he does alot of sci-fi and i think with some work, this beast will fit both of our styles. hopefully i can make something he will have fun painting up. sometime this weekend ill get to tearing this thing down and rummaging for choice bits/parts(i gotta do some preemptive spring cleaning first,as my desk is a war zone) expect WIP's for this thing as i build it up as i have big plans seeing how i don't have to worry about painting all the detail Muhahahhahahahahhahahahhaha
I have a feeling this one is going to be dripping with awesomesauce when fully built/painted and we would love to give it away to someone in the community somehow. we are still undecided on whether it should be a raffle or "comment on" the finished work or some sort of contest. any suggestions would be gladly appreciated as to how we should give this one away!
