1/35 Tiger and Abrams comparison by enc86 1/35 Tiger and Abrams comparison by enc86
this was a request from :iconwarrior1944: to see how the Abrams and Tiger 1 sized up together. while the Abrams is a bit bigger, the tiger is taller. both tanks are almost the same width and the tigers tracks are much bigger.

note: the tigers hatches are not glued because i do have a crew for it i am working on.

I had no idea the WW2 German Tiger was that big. I know about them and their reputation and the fear they evoked in the allies.

But that is a big cat as well as a bad cat. (Keep in mind the 80 designed M-1 it is next to is 70-Tons).

Great job on the models & the photography.

what kind of assembly? just screws and snap-ons?

sheets and sheets of tiny plastic parts and requires plastic glue, and paint for the right color and weathering. i would say this tiger is about 2oo+ parts.
this is an Abrams UN-assembled [link] to make a model will take some time, patience and practice.

Very interesting. I would have thought the Abrams was much bigger. Shows how much I know!

i thought the same thing! seeings how the tiger is over 60 years old and the Abrams is pretty modern. goes to show how scary the tiger was.

Even about 60 years on and the Tiger still makes a badass impression whislt standing next to a modern-day tank XD

totally! i mean when the Abrams sits next to my m60 the Abrams blows it away in its awesomeness, but next to the tiger, i feel like the tiger is a scarier looking beast.

Even though modern day technology is scary enoguh there's no question that a German WW2 tank will still strike a little bit of fear inside every powerful nation today XD
