Aerosani size compairison by enc86 Aerosani size compairison by enc86
Just a quick shot out in the cold with my Russian armor( i need more!)
anyways here is my Kv-2 tank witch towers over my Aerosan. the armored areosans hull is just about the same size as the kv-2 turret and the dinky small aerosan is barely taller the the track on the tank.

I built that KV-2 as well at one time.
I was told by a few Russians that the side decal spelling is incorrect.
What I find interesting is that Tamiya never bothered to fix it.

yea i have been told that as well, and on other kits i have built the Russians off or weird. tho this was a trumpeter kit, it was very nicely modeled with only a few problems.

They also have a certain A-Team quality to them to. I am left with the impression that they did not perform as well in combat as their creators would've hoped.

yea they do, i have plans to make a kitbashed one next winter.

from what i understand, when use right(to chase after fleeing units and recon) they were pretty effective but not used much.
think they used them after the war for awhile in civilian matters(delivering mail and such)
lol i kinda want one for myself, ill be the envy of the neighborhood when i go get groceries in my aerosan!

this is why the germans feared the russians in winter because they would be run over by road raged russians drunk on vodka driving propeller ski machines once again only in soviet russia

Are you on WoT? My personal favorite tank is The T26E4 Super Pershing. I know its a gold tank but its my favorite tank. These KV-2s get me really mad all the time, because they get behind me and set my engine on fire.

Hmm if you think those parts were small and fragile you should test 1/72 scale ;)

lol yea thats kinda how i feel. last night i was on a roll, did all the small parts needed for the running gear/engine assembly. felt like i was on a production line, once one set of parts were painted, the next set would get weathered.
