Description

my completed 1/35 M1A2 "Bradley" infantry fighting vehicle. this model will go with my zombie dirroma i am doing. and because i made it to be in the Apocalypse i used a lot of artistic liberties in terms of the paint and gear.
first things first, it a 1/35 tamiya kit, and it was a blast.very detailed and everything fit like a dream. i painted the kit in a gunship grey and weathered pretty much in pastels. think i might of over weathered but hey its the zombie Apocalypse things are gonna get dirty. the gear is mostly what came with the kit except for a few items that i got from modern accessory kit. i did make a map that's in the basket( a fallout 3 map) but its wicked hard to see. in order to fit on the base of the dirroma the gears all on one side as you will see in anther pic. and the figurines are stock from the kit. the whole tank took me about a week.

Very nice model, personally i find 1/35 kits too big for my tastes
That maybe becouse i got used to 28mm wargaming and painting

First thing that hit me when looking at the mini was the grey was,,well grey everywhere Dont be afraid to paint the metal parts too, they will do nice in breaking the standart color.
Try experimenting with washes to get a more shadowy feel on some places.Highlights look good, rust effects at the bottom look nice too, i would put some of that rust to other places in the mini too,and if you get a dust weathering powder and brush it (no water!!) on the mini whole it will be great.
As for the weathering you said it is a new apc but adding a bit paint scratches with brown and black mixed with a sponge( sponges like they give with mini blister packs) will increase the realistic value of the mini greatly
Oh and also try rain marks, i use streaking grime from ak interactive(it is an enamel based paint) just draw some straight lines from the places where rain would make a mark and it will look great(dont over do it though) remember sometimes less is more
Overall it is a nice model, i would suggest looking at modelling forums for more advices and techniques becouse there is a limit one person can achieve with his knowladge alone
