Chaotic Corvette by enc86 Chaotic Corvette by enc86
A classic never goes out of style, even out in the wastes. With upgrades from raider tec, this old world beauty is ready for anything you throw at it. the 7.62 minigun will tear foes apart and the spikes will leave a bruise if they get too close. fully upgraded sensor suit, armor and Mr.Fusion engine conversion are just some of the extras you will enjoy with this badboy. With a comfy and roomy interior, you and your passenger will ride in style as you cross the dunes.and speaking of murderess afternoons, this gal's junk top comes off, for when you need a better shot or wind in your hair. don't be left in the dust, get yours today!

here is my finished 1/24 "Chaotic Corvette" kit bashed from a pretty crappy older model of mine.for the "death race/madmax" conversion i used bits bin and scratch built details. this was built  for a trade over the course of two weeks(one week build, one week paint) painted with/in my raiders color scheme (i had paint on hand from my dozer) and for the most part i am happy with this one. i had a blast and hopefully the person i am giving it to will enjoy it as much as i did building it.

As Always,Questions,comments and suggestions welcome.

Seems a lot more MadMax than Death Race, considering it seems more stripped and has less armor than the usual cars from DR
Still a beautiful machine. Would definitely make a name for itself in the Wasteland

Super Cool (with the capital C), I wouldn't know what add more... maybe a bunch of sharp spikes on the front (also on the top of the engine trunk), just to be sure that any desperate scavenger don't try to jump on the top of the engine :)

thank you very much, love these kinda bash projects!
i totaly agree with you, good thought. it really could of used more spikes, there was a few other details that didn't quite make this one too. we were just talking about time limits, this one i had gave myself a two week deadline. thus a few things i had wanted were just soaking up too much time. some things on these builds take very little time or just seem to fall into place, while others soak up a lot to get right.

thanks again, i really do appreciate the feedback. i really like how this one came out myself and the person it got sent to really seemed to like it. it just i can always see "what was meant to be", if that makes sense. almost all my builds will have a few things left off that i could not get just right, even the ones i set no limits for. very rarely does a project come out exactly how i had it in my mind.

But it I think this is part of the creative process itself: you start with an idea and then you do researches and tryouts, and studies... just to see where that idea brings you. I like this fact because it makes more stimulating to create from scratch!

That looks fantastic - if I was to go for a drive in a post apocalyptic wasteland that would be my car of choice!

It does look nice as a convertable.  Might want the tribarrel's ammo box to be on the other side, however, as the passenger would be getting a face full of hot brass when it is firing.

Reminds me of this syfi I once read where groups of automated cars go native and escape their human matters by skulking around in the deserts, occasionally committing brutal murders when disturbed... Awesome weathering!
