M113 Collage by enc86 M113 Collage by enc86
Just some "studio" shots of my 1/35 M113 and the figureines/features. Most of this kit was built "outta the box" and other than some weird fit issues this kit was a blast. the back door does open and close to show off the loaded up intorior. i really like how this one came out and might make a base/diroama for it.

thanks! its luck sometimes, i am not that good with them yet, alot of the time they kick my butt XD
anyways sometimes it comes down to how good the fig is, these academys are not bad on detail(unlike some tamiya)

Turned out really good :) love the sideburns and the main gunners expression. Not sure what it is hes thinking or maybe he's about spit out a bug that flew into his mouth. Either way looks amazing tons of detail and please make a base xD as sad as that sounds me saying it would top it off i think :)

Getting better and better, love the way you handled battle damage, you cut them with model knife , primed added black brown mix into the depths than went over the edges with pencil correct ?

Thanks dude!
i tried not to go overboard on the damage, while it's not very realistic i like the effect it gives the tank.

i used my knife for lager chips but alot of the scratches were made use my mini files. the square file's edges are great for that. then i primed and painted in my base color. next i dry brushed my metal highlight on edges and areas of wear and used a small brush to paint in the larger scratches to give them more dept. after all that i gave the kit a heavy overall wash of a dark brown acrylic( i base paint in enamel so the acrylic doesn't effect the base) once every thing was on, painted, weathered i gave it a matt top coat( i use "Mr.super clear flat")

i have herd from different places that a pencil could work too, and might be more "realistic" but from my test i prefer this look.

love this and the detail is amazing my tank would be done but its my first time doing lots of stowage and ive been doing many hours at my job so not alot of time for my model but you used this kit very well glad i sent it to ya i told ya youd be able to turn this into something badass but thats why i love the m113 because it is already badass and also the fact i got to drive an old one and i was the lucky bastard when my unit did convoy training live fire i got to shoot the 50 maduce at pop ups... so i guess thats probably the reason im in love with this aluminum soda can on tracks

The shape of it reminds me a lot of the Rhino from warhammer 40k... maybe it was inspired by this? In any case, it looks great :D

i was thinking the same thing building it. the rhino must of been inspired by it, and they probably used a converted model for there original production.
