Here is my 1/35 Lav-25 "Piranha". kit is painted and detailed by means of "what looks cool" style. kinda was going for post-apocalyptic vibe.

Kit is from trumpeter, details/stowage are from bits box. "Gasmask Steve" is a custom figurine, cigarette packs/carton/beer cans/ bottles ect sculpted outta of epoxy.

what are you looking to get into doing? armor?
anyways i get all my armor kits from [link] and this site is a useful resource for finding reviews and tips [link]
as for making more custom figurines and gear i find that Milliput Epoxy Putty [link] works great! its mike a clay that will harden in the air in about 4 hours(no baking required)
