Piranha by enc86 Piranha by enc86
Here is my 1/35 Lav-25 "Piranha". kit is painted and detailed by means of "what looks cool" style. kinda was going for post-apocalyptic vibe.

Kit is from trumpeter, details/stowage are from bits box. "Gasmask Steve" is a custom figurine, cigarette packs/carton/beer cans/ bottles ect sculpted outta of epoxy.

what are you looking to get into doing? armor?
anyways i get all my armor kits from [link] and this site is a useful resource for finding reviews and tips [link]
as for making more custom figurines and gear i find that Milliput Epoxy Putty [link] works great! its mike a clay that will harden in the air in about 4 hours(no baking required)

Love the details, actually going to look at models like this a lot when i am trying to work out details to place on my concept art vehicles, having stuff on the outside does just look cooler, big fan on modern and future stuff of putting sensors and cameras on, it doesn't all have to make total sense for what i'm doing as long as it has a cool factor!

thanks man, i had a problem with the tires. the rubber reacted badly to my flat top coat so i added extra pastel to cover the mistake.

Very cool looking, I love all that gear. Any gear stored on the hull or turret is never left unsecured, but nonetheless I love it.

Yeah the sewing store, I've often felt out of place there.

If your feeling ambitious check this tutorial out... A Simple Device for Making Scale Rope: [link]

It's simple, but a little time consuming. I suppose that not many people would try this technique to making rope in scale.

The stowage parts are a bit shiny, not sure what caused it but other than that you are definetly improving, awsome job here.

thanks a ton dude.
yea some of the stowage didn't get a flat top coat. because the flat coat reacted very bad to the rubber tires. so anyways i covered that up with pastel but forgot on certain backpacks ect.

Tires looks very good though, maybe an overall black wash will dampen the shine a bit.

:iconenc86:
enc86 Featured By Owner Jan 31, 2013
yea i am not sure. originally the tires got a brown wash and light pastel, but the "mr hobby super clear flat" did really weird things to them. made there weird marks and made splotchy gray marks.
