Raging Mustang by enc86 Raging Mustang by enc86
Long after the bombs fell and society crumbled, ravenous groups of raiders formed. They hunted the wastes for anything or anyone that could be of "use" to them. They modified vehicles from the old world to fit their violent environment. equipped with a upgraded engine, afterburners, smoke launchers, spiked battering ram and king sized cup holders, the "Raging Mustang" is ready to terrorize any unlucky soul......

So this project was a dual request with :iconhankypanky68: i requested he do a sci-fi themed hot wheel [link] and he requested i do a post apocalyptic style car. its been over three years since i did a car so it sounded like a nice change of pace. the car i used was actually the first model i built when i got into modeling
[link] So it seemed fitting that i use the kit that got me back into modeling.
the whole project took me around two days and all the details are from the bits box. had a blast making this thing(might have to do more in the future) and couldn't be happier with the result!

For as long as I've been doing this, you'd think I'd be better at it but damn it's fun.

Looks pretty bad ass! I wish that I could make a car in two days! However, I did notice that you had a starter car already built. The details are very well done indeed! The spikes on the front will put someone out of there misery for sure on the post apocalyptic highways of death! The steel grading is a nice bonus too! This will not do much good in keeping the bugs out of you teeth though. Very nice!

thanks dude! yea i did skimp on the interior detail(cheated and sprayed it flat black) and i had wrote Raging Death on the top of the car but my penmanship sucks lol.
anyways those things aside i was happy with how it turned out, been years since i worked on a 1/24 car. yea i had to have spikes, it was tricky figuring out how to mount them(i used a spoiler)

any who take your time with the sci-fi ride, i look forward to seeing it!

Cool thanks! Most everybody has bad penmanship these days but they can really type fast! I will get on the sci-fi car soon!

Looks great! I'm a big fan of The Road Warrior so this is right up my alley.
You did a good job of making the plastic look like dented metal. A lot of modelers have a hard time with that.

thanks! i LOVE the The Road Warrior and the fallout games and they inspired me very much on this one.
yea it can be tricky to get that heavy "realistic" look, think the top coat i use helps a ton with that effect.
