SdKfz 222

My finished 1/35 Sd.Kfz 222 German armored car.This was a pretty fun build, and i am happy with the results. lol mind the little rain drops, i decide to not fear the rain and try to do a shoot outside while the weather isn't so nice. this has no pastels on it yet do to the rain, and waiting for the diorama base to be finished. for a brief history lesson on this crazy German car, check out WormWoodTheStar's write up on this thing [link]

The kit: this is a 1/35 tamiya Sd.Kfz 222. overall it was pretty good, and i built it outta box. its an older kit from what i understand but was under $20us and was pretty detailed for what it is. the kit also came with a aluminum gun barrel and photo etched parts for the mesh roof. i overall painted it in model masters Anthracitgrau flat enamel. i also added a brown acyclic wash/filer. The figurine is stock with the kit, with a arm swap and epoxy cigarette.

The diorama: I am not 100% certain of what i am doing but i do have a scene in mind. its was suggested that i make this armored car guarding a hanger that houses a backward engineered Nazi ufo. this present a whole bunch of elements and challenges, but it sounds too cool not to do. ill take a few days off to play some games and then ill start work on the diorama.
