Striking Cobra by enc86 Striking Cobra by enc86
Sometimes out in the waste, its not about armor or the biggest guns, it's speed. When you need to go from point A to point B the fastest way possible(and look cool while doing it!) The Striking Cobra is made just for you. With a supercharged engine, extended custom hand forged exhaust and a dilithium fueled boost reactor, it will get you where you need to go and in a hurry! ideal for smuggling, bootlegging, racing and grocery getting! get one today!

This is a 1/24 kitbash model Shelby Cobra that i made from a much older and broken model [link] Painted with "Model Masters" enamels, weathered with art acrylics and pastels.
i have been battling cold for the last few days and while not uber detailed, this was a good way to pass the time while i wait for other projects to arrive and rest up. anyways this will be my last 1/24 car for awhile. they are very fun and great practice for upcoming stuff but its back to 1/35 for me. expect lots of zombies next week.

Nice one! reminds me of Vigilante 8! Anyway, what material did you used to create the roof since the stock one is a convertible?

thanks, yea it really does have a bit of that vibe. that roof came from a bits bin. not really sure where it came from but with a little help it fit ok.

Ouwh, the bits from your unused model kit. I do have some failed-attempt model kit scrap, but still don't know what should I do to them.

yea, alot of my older models have been broken down for parts. hummm what should you do, that can be a hard one. really depends on what inspires you and what you have to work with.

a safe bet is always the battle car or post apocalyptic setting.

Maybe you could do a diorama with a factory or iron mill setting, lots of copper pipes, metal laying around.

This is a cool angle here with those huge copper side pipes ripping up the side! If you get hungry in the wasteland, you could probably cook on those pipes! At least roast some marsh mellows in the back.

yea the pipes were pretty fun to make, just heated and bent model runners.
lol yea it would cook the hell outta some marshmallows.
