U-Boat and the Monster 6

Description

Everyone thought the captain had gone crazy. their mission was to hunt the enemy, not chase after strange sounds in the ocean! it seemed like after the last leave, the captain had changed once he got back on the boat. always carrying that strange tome with him. he was pushing them and the boat to their limits.
when asked "captain what are we looking for?!" he would only reply
"you will know, when we find it"..............

so yup my finished sea monster diorama. i am not very happy with this one.mostly dude to lack of patience( i am trying to quit smoking) i guess it could of turned out worse, but i could of done a ton better.

the u-boat: i built this a few months ago, and never had a plan for it. its tiny and was not very impressive on the self alone. i don't remember the make( i want to say revell) but its a 1/300 scale. from what i remember it was a nice little kit, and was nicely detailed for something sooo small.

the monster:so i wanted to try something new, and used epoxy putty for the monsters head. i used a cheap burger king toy as a base( its a was a acteck cat thing) and molded the epoxy around it. it was pretty fun and i didn't realy mean for it to look kinda like cthulhu. the tentacles s are sculpty, and everything was painted in acrylics.

the water: this is where i really messed up. i had no patience, and instid of waiting till Tuesday to go buy supply's, i used what i had. lol what i have in bulk is plaster. so ye... its plaster and i used aluminum fold to make waves. i then painted in acrylics. on a scale of 1-10, i would give it like a 3.
i will defiantly have to go get proper "water" supply's and try to redeem my self.

overall i am not very happy with the outcome, but its been awhile since i felt that way, and you cant win them all. anyways i had fun, and any practice sculpting helps me get better. don't realy know what my next project will be, but i hope it turns out a little better.

This is cool. I like the detail on the submarine and the oil spilling out around it. You've got an eye minitures.
