WIP Collaboration: Scratch build up

Description

For anyone that's noticed i have been pretty quiet this week, here is the reason, the scratch build up on my collaboration with :iconstyrenerobot: . i wanted to push myself a bit with this build(seeings how i am not doing the painting) so while this might not look like a lot, its took a TON of time this week to get the model to this point. for the first few days i was screaming in my head"what the F%$# am i doing" but after a week of hard work i think i have something to show for it and am pretty happy with what i have got done. This is still in the rough build stage, rest assure that more detail is planned, along with a killer paintjob and base.

One of the Biggest challenges was designing  and building a model that would come apart for ease of paint and detailing.most of the work you see is from scratch building different sections of the model with styrene plastic sheets. the scratch built front drivers cab not only comes apart but has fittings for many easy to install windows.driver compartment is removable to revealing engine compartment. the crane moves and detaches via magnet/sliding. the trailer is posable and removable as well.  lastly the tracks and running gear does all come apart and had to be engineered differently because the kits original ruining wheels were toast.
i picked up a couple sets of stowage to mix with what i have on hand , so  this build will be brimming with resin detail. the nuts/bolts hopefully will add some wild detail as well.i have loads of plans and a box filled to the brim with bits, so it looks like i am in for some fun.

this is still in pretty rough shape(tonight ill do more sanding, building, and fixing stuff lol) but now at least most of the rough and scratch work is done. starting next week ill be loading up the details and figuring out where where everything goes.

As always, questions, comments and suggestions welcome.
