Yamato Dry Dock

Here is my Finished 1/1000 space battleship Yamato dry dock diorama. featuring my Bandai 1/1000 Yamato and Uncf fleet set #2, with kitbashed and scratch built details. the base dimensions are roughly 12cm by 30cm and  built from scratch out of styrene plastic. most of the buildings,cranes and such were kitbahsed from a bandai  1/700 Chikyu kit. while a little bit out of scale, for the most part i think they look pretty good bashed and converted here. other random assortment of details were fished from the bits bin.

Overall i am really happy with how this one came out. a few things might need some tweaking(the front plaque and some of the yellow scaffolding is sightly off) it was kinda hard to tell as the diorama(and bits for it) are quite small and fiddly. i really had a blast building this scene up and it makes for a pretty interesting display in my collection. this is by far the smallest scale i have ever attempted so i am pretty happy with the amount of detail i was able to squeeze in this one. my eyes are about shot after working on all these small bits so for my next project will be in the biggest scale i have ever attempted , 1/20(tho the model is still on the smallish side) hopefully i can do as good of a job with that one.
