Freedom Gundam

The ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam was built using captured Alliance's Gundams and features cutting edge technology. Phase Shift armor, shields and back-mounted wings (which can be deployed to enhance its mobility) provide great defenses. The freedoms not only has beam sabers and long range rife but 2 plasma beam cannons and 2 rail cannons, giving it incredible firepower even at long range. All powered by a nuclear reactor, it has almost unlimited combat endurance. Fast, sleek and deadly, the freedom is one hard hitting mobile suit.

Here is my finished Bandai RG 1/144 freedom gundam. It was a pretty fun model and has some great gimmicks but a couple problems as well. It features great detail and poseability and I had a blast building it and weathering it. IMO this kit is much better than the MG of this suit I had built years back. (the panel lines and proportions are better) once built though there was no way for it to stand with its wings on (though I have seen photos with this model standing with them) I am 99.999999% sure I built it right, but it seem the ankles are just too weak to support the back weight, so if you plan on ever doing this kit, make sure you have a stand ready. The wings are pretty dang finicky (though I think this is unavoidable). other than just some problems I have with the overall suit design(not a fan of seed etc.), I am pretty happy with this one and it does look pretty impressive with the wings out in the display.
